• This is a vegetarian, fireless cooking competition.
• The prepared dishes will be offered to Lord Krishna, so please note the following:
  • No onion, no garlic, no mushrooms, no chocolate,no caffein, no eggs and do not use any non-vegetarian items
• Bread and biscuits may be used only if they are branded and have the green vegetarian symbol.
  • Bakery bread is not allowed.
• Although it is a fireless cooking competition, the following ingredients may be used:
  • Roasted peanuts, roasted chana, sattu, makhana, cornflakes, puffed rice
• Please be cautious with store-bought mixtures (such as cornflakes or ready-made mixtures), as they may contain onion or garlic. Kindly check the ingredients carefully before using.
• Extra marks will be awarded to students who use only fresh ingredients, such as:
  • Sprouts, soaked dal, fresh fruits, vegetables, poha, etc.
• After preparation:
  • Food items must be placed in disposable containers only.
  • Children must take back their bags and boxes and clean their area before leaving.
• Parents and school teachers are kindly requested to double-check all ingredients before students begin preparing their dishes to avoid disqualification.
• Ensure that the spirit of purity and devotion is maintained throughout the event.
• Participants should chant the Hare Krishna mantra at least 3 times before preparing, if possible.
• As the preparation will be offered to Lord Krishna, it should not be tasted while making and until the offering has been completed.
• Each team may prepare up to 3 items.
• The food items offered will be judged by our in-house food critics.
• Prelims will be held in school/temple, and the finals will be held at the ISKCON Rajajinagar temple.
